Catalyst, Mission ARM Japan
Genta Kondo is a catalyst of nonprofit organisation Mission ARM Japan, and former CEO of exiii Inc.. He with his team produced open-source 3D-printable bionic arm named “HACKberry” and accompanying communities both online/offline. His current role is to grow a community into solid platform that sustainably produces fashion for upper-limb disabilities.
Genta received MS from the University of Tokyo in 2011. During 2009 to 2010, he studied at UC Berkeley. In 2011, he joined Sony Corporation and pursued the commercialisation of robotics technology until he resigned his post in June of 2014. He founded exiii Inc. in October of 2014 and resigned his post in September 2016. Since October 2016, he works with Sony again to promote its midterm strategy, along with his vocation in Mission ARM Japan.
