Founder, Asia Wedding Network
Michelle Yuan is founder of the Asia Wedding Network (www.asiaweddingnetwork.com), Asia’s largest online wedding platform that provides brides and grooms a one-stop shop for everything they need for their wedding. Whether couples are looking for a makeup artist in Hong Kong or a photographer in Phuket, they’ll be able to search for quality vendor choices – and real-time chat with, message, or contact the wedding vendor directly. The site also provides helpful wedding content about the latest bridal fashion and beauty trends, wedding etiquette, celebrity proposal/wedding news, wedding stories from real brides, honeymoon ideas, and more! The Asia Wedding Network also features wedding planning tools such as planning checklists, a budget calculator, wedding hashtag creators, and Pinterest-like inspiration boards for couples to save the site’s inspirations on their ‘wedding inspiration boards.’ For brides who’ve already tied the knot, the site also offers a section for women to sell their designer wedding gowns and for brides to purchase these pre-loved gowns at a discounted price. Before Asia Wedding Network was created, Yuan started her career in investment banking at J.P. Morgan after graduating from Columbia University with a degree in Economics. Afterwards, she wrote for the Wall Street Journal while studying for her Master’s Degree in Media & Journalism at the University of Hong Kong. After completing her Master’s, Yuan lead marketing teams at a few other startups in Hong Kong before founding the Asia Wedding Network. In 2016, she was featured in the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in Asia in the Media, Marketing & Advertising category for Asia Wedding Network, further establishing the company in Asia’s wedding industry.
